   No single book is enough to get you through any exam, and this book is no exception. What it is however is a very good book that covers all of the bases and should give you enough understanding of the exams requirements to allow you to discover your own weak area’s and expand on them using alternative sources.

   The book is well written and easier reading than others that I have read. I aditionally used the two test prep exams that come on the CD with the book and found them to be well written also.

   This is a big book, packed full of information that will definitely help you, if you’re studying towards the MCTS for Vista. Even if you’re not, and you’re keen to find out more about Vista, then this is the book for you.

   It is very well written, and in an easy style. Couldn’t put it down. Read it from cover to cover in 6 days.

   This book may be OK to learn about Vista and Server 2008 (I cannot comment on this). What I can say for the purposes of certification, a book should be concise and to the point. This book is not concise and to the point. As an example, lets just take the first chapter or so:

   + This book starts delving into Windows Deployment server servers, when this is not an exam topic. (Remember we do not have practice on deployment services just talk)

   + Plenty of talk on Active directory, when this is not a major exam topic

   + Unlike most certification books, not hot topics/side notes if a particular topic is part or core to the exam.

   Sorry cannot recommend this book for certification, probably too lacking in detail as a resouce book. Would like to award 2.5 stars.

   PS: The MS press 70-620 book ISBN: 978-0735623903 is a much better book for certification.
